arrowhead filework
1 Attachment(s)
What files are used to do arrowhead filework?? I've got the 60 degree triangle and the chainsaw; think i'm missing one and don't even know what it's called. getting better with that mojave now it is time to try the arrowhead. many thanks.

Basically that is all that you need for doing arrowhead filework. One thing that will help is to grind one side of the triangle files teeth off that way you will have two very sharp cutting angles. Use the round files to do the arrowhead base and the oval cuts for where it would be tied down. then use the triangle file to make the cuts on both sides of the heads tip. When I do arrowhead filework I usually use the round file to make a second cut below the arrowheads base, this just adds a little definition to the filework.

Many thanks Curtis,

There is a sight dovetail file available from Brownells that has two cutting sides and one safe side--might be useful for what you're trying to do. Goatwhiskers the Elder

Have to agree, that is some eye-candy. Takes a while to absorb all that.... really nice!

Very nice work. Glad to see someone's taking time to do it. And by time I mean that it takesa lot of time to do multiples much less a single and get it right. Thanks for sharing.
