Bill,
I have two Leschorns with carved initials in ivory inserts. One has "TWL" and the other "TL". I believe he only used his middle initial on some of his earliest work (Before he started carving or engraving the handle or hardware). I don't remember seeing an "L" before. Where is this letter placed on the knife?

Beaucamp has a new book out with a large section on Leschorns. I just went through it and there is no mention of an "L".
