How to sell a collector knife ?

What is the best method to sell a knife made by one of the premier knifemakers. Is there a venue to contact those collectors that would value such a knife and , speaking of value, how do you figure out how much such a knife would be worth?
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,

The methods to sell a collector knife are many:

Advertise it on the forums(s). KNET is one of many. For utmost exposure you would HAVE to join and post on others.

Quality sells easily on eBay.

In either of the above scenarios, your reputation, descriptions, and photos will play a pivotal role.

Or: Talk to a dealer who specializes/carries this maker's work and ask about commission fees. NO ONE has the solid collector base and trust as much as a good dealer's clients.

I purchase one of Wolfe's knives last year, and opted to have a reputable dealer (KnifeLegends) commission it. In the end it sold quickly, and I received more than I thought would have, due to their strong client base and value appraisal.

Steve.
I know Coop knows his way around as well as anyone but at this time Ebay is not the place to go. Frank
