Missing Dog Bone Bowie

Hello to All,
I had a friend send back a knife to me by DHL shipping service. It was a Dog Bone Bowie, a reproduction of the Kimball knife. they said it was delievered to my door steps Tuesday 2 weeks ago. I was home waiting for it so I know that was not true. This is the first chance I have had to let the all of you know about it, I have been out of town for over a week. We have done all we can for finding it, so if anyone happens to see or hear about it please let me know. I am trying to down load a picture of the knife, but I have not figured out how to do it yet, any help would be surely appricated, There is a picture of it in the thread The Bowies of the Blade Show 2005. I will try to get a picture of it on here later,
Thanks to all ,
Billybob

DHL.......cold shudders.....
I worked with DHL/Airborn Express quite a bit at my old job. Some of the stupid crap I saw the ####### do was just unbelievable. Leaving radioactive packages in the hall while they went upstairs to look for someone to open a door..driving off with the backdoor of the van hanging open and packages dropping out into the parking area....and the list goes on, and on. Their big thing was getting done as fast as possible. It probably was delivered to your doorstep...and promptly left there without even ringing the doorbell. Ask them for a copy of the signature. DHL packages are supposed to be signed for and they have an electronic copy. They should be able to tell you exactly what time of day it was delivered as well.

Billybob asked me to post a picture of the knife for him since it was most likely 'stolen' and might turn up for sale on eBay or at a show somewhere.

Thanks Don,
it was delievered at 3:20 PM Tuesday Aug 15th...They say.. I was at home Monday thru Thursday waiting on that package....and also say they had my signature for leaving packages with out me signing..i know that was not true, and they were confronted..and they admitted..they did not have my signature on anything..i have never ever done business with DHL..or will i ever do business with them..Personally..i think the knife was stolen by DHL employees..What i have to remember is..it is just a knife..and what goes around comes around..

####! This is to bad. That's a very nice knife. I'm sure someone is happy with, that's the bad part.

Billybob,

Long time no see.

Makes me sad to hear you've lost that prize.

All that work so some bum can pawn it for $20 to buy crack.

You should be able to recover the insured value, but the knife is irreplaceable.
