I find it very interesting that Chinese swordmakers would make Katanas considering how many chinese heads were taken with them as recently as the 30s and 40s.

Most esimates say that more lives were taken with a katana during that conflict than with the atomic bomb a few years later (ref: Flyboys, can't remember the author right off hand).
