antler handles
what is a good way to keep antler handles looking good for the long haul ? i have tried clear epoxy spray in gloss & satin polished with wheel then waxed but want a natural look with no loss of texture and sheen ideas?--Mark

No wax or applied finish will keep any wood, bone, or antler looking good forever - they always need to be re-applied sooner or later. That's why I always send those materials to K&G and have the professionally stabilized. After that, they still look natural or, if you buff them, they look like they have a high gloss finish. Since the stabilizing goes all the way through the material it can never wear off ....
