Anyone know where I can find some of the old yellow paper micarta. Its been out of production for years, My private stash is all used up and I still have some of these ole boys down here wanting me to make them some knives with it. |

Terry, The new Koval catologue has some new Antique Gold Linen K-Carta material that they say looks like the old white Mircata after it ages. Might be worth a try. Mike |

Sheffield still has some of the lined white micarta- I have some, but quit using it because it is so hard to polish. Tiny pores pick up buffing compund, and leave black smears. And, yes, I know about the superglue trick, but it is more trouble than it is worth to me. I have some of the old (and mean *old*) yellow canvas micarta; makes a great working knife handle. |

Thanks Mike, I have tryed some of the antique they say looks like the old yeller, but it don't. Don I have some of that old canvas, and yea its real old. I gotta admit it does make one heck of a handle for a working knife. |
