well done

Your plan is fine with me, but you don't need an even number of people to make an In The Hat work. Just make a list of all the participants, and then make a little tag of paper with their name on it. Go down the list, drawing a tag for each name... it'll work out. Toss any matching names back in for a redraw.

Gene, I'll try to get it out this weekend... needs a little work yet, and I need to make one run to the craft store for some leather to hang it from your neck.

Nah...

If you feel the need to 'fix' it, just drop the #2... Larry's badge would go to Carl. Easy, eh?

I'm thinking Seal Fur. You'll see.

Prizzm's idea sounds OK to me.

Tai - yours will be in the mail by the middle of next week. Got a little finishing left to do this weekend.

Yahooooo, stinking badges, can't wait.

Sweany, will make yours this morning.

Am forging as much as possible playing catch up for the holidays. Had some folks over for a hammerin last night, hey even had green fried tomatoes, thanks to the wife for that. I don't know where green tomatoes come from in December but there they were at the market yesterday.

Hot tip, when cutting copper rod on the bandsaw, use a new blade, a dull blade doesn't cut as well and wants to bind the blade. Suppose this is from heat. Anyway I cut up 18 feet of copper rod for medallions a few days ago, estimated to be 174 pieces, about 6 months worth. I have one new blade reserved just for cutting copper rod, tagged (copper rod) and hung on the wall.

Stinking Badges

Hey Mike, finished your badge, it's copper, about 3 1/4" long.

OOPS, the image is reversed, hit the wrong button in photoshop

These badges are just too cool! I can't wait to see them all.

I wish I'd been organised enough to get into this one but I just knew I'd be useless

Gene, you guessed right. That's what the badge is supposed to be, but don't blame Tai, he was good enough to post it for me. All I have right now is a scanner to get photos, and the badge is my poor attempt at art. Poor Carl!

Yep Mongo squish, the copper round was longer than normal and bent in trying to upset it round, anyway, long story short, tapered it, pounded it flat and thats what it looked like in the end, art, squished slug, whatever. it was fun though.
