Hunters ax
Lost interest for over a year with axes. Here's the first one with hopes of doing more. The head was forged from a piece of landing gear from a bush plane. There's a story that goes along with that but won't go into it now. The head is 5160, just over 5" with a 3" cutting edge. Handle is stab. curly hickory and its 14".

Great looking axe and knife. I like how you brought out the quench line. Come one, give us the story!

That looks great Ray, I also like the quench line if that is what it is. Or is it differential etching?
Does the landing gear story go something like.......... "There are old pilots And there are bold pilots but there are no old bold pilots." |
