Push knife bound for the box...

MOD 0

Well, I don't normally do tacticals, but this one was a nice change of pace. Headed to Afghanistan along with Don Halter's that is on display in the forum too.

Because of the design, I'm not sure I could have made it without a metal cutting bandsaw. To hacksaw it out would have left me screaming.

Anyway, made of 5/32" O1 steel, heat treated and tempered back to around 58/59 Rc (so say my hardness files), 5 1/2" OAL with a cutting edge of 2 3/4". Stamp is on the opposite of where I normally stamp because it's chisel ground. My first and I like it. G10 scales and stainless tubing for pins. The top of the tang has been exposed and checkered for indexing. When the exposed part is up, the cutting edge is down. Sheath is Kydex with a TekLoc system.

And to help it look more tactical, here it is next to my buddy.

Thanks for looking,
Chris

Very nice Chris! Looks better than the pic I saw of it in progress. Now you need to make one w/o that handle material, and do some very nice Pearl!

Thanks for showing!

Besides your going to hurt that brain of yours if you keep it up.
