hollow grinding jig

Hi,
In the Koval Knives web site I look the "hollow grinding made easy" from Lowell Snoddy/ Reba's Enterprises, you can also see this in the last pages of Blade magazine.
Wat do you think about ?

Before you invest in that, check out Gene's video and posts about his grinding jig.

I believe that Gene is going to refilm that video and send it back out. I don't know when but even though I have the orginal one I'll buy the new one when it comes out. Also Gene's really great about answering questions about the jig if you have any.

This is just my opinion, but I believe it is shared by many others. Forget about grinding jigs and learn to do it freehand.

you will not like jigs verry limited you use jigs when you making same knife over and over

Most old timers do not use a jig.
I use one for hollow grinding only because I can produce more, quicker.
A jig will help you to get started, but try it free hand too, both have goods and bads about them.
The jig is best used to learn from, not to depend on.
Either way, it is practice that makes it better.

i have the jig from koval and it works fine,it comes with some basic instructions,i dont do much in the way of hollow grinding but some hunters this year wanted it so i got the jig so i could offer that option without spending a week or two trying to learn it.if you have done mostly flat grinds the jig will help.
