I believe that Heaven is the one place in the universe they (religion and politics and let me add to the list, insurance) cannot worm their way into. It's one of the perks about going there. Nobody arguing about religion, and no politicians or insurance brokers in Heaven either. It's a nice thought.

Oh, and one more thing...sort of off subject of the off subject...

"I know the police cause you trouble,
They cause trouble everywhere,
When you die and go to Heaven,
There won't be no policemen there."

Woodie Guthrie, "The Hobo's Lullaby"

And, No, I'm not against the police, per se. There's good and bad. My grandfather was a lawman. It's just they won't be needed because there won't be any politicians there--at least in that capacity.

To me.. speaking personally of course, heaven and hell, are just different frames of mind. You can dwell here or there. It's up to the person. It's like a stick with two ends, you decide...?

Two ends of a stick. Two ends of a knife. Negative/positive = positive/negative. It's just the way it is...

AYE.

I was about 9, going arond the house singing "if you gotta warrant I guess you're gonna come in" and dad got MAAAAAAD

When my son was 9, I gave him *all* my Black Sabbath CD's.

Bob Dylan was right.

Pro-pain

In my line of work I have to be pro-pain. When i relax i prefer the forgiving nature of charcoal.

I believe God has a sense of humor - that's why he invented sex.

Tai how about the "Bushwacker" has a certain Southwest cachet?

Tia, I feel for you. My kids were never a problem, Thank God. Parrenting skills are very important while raising a family. I was very fortunate in marrying a lady that had some. We had two kids but she raised three, the one thats doing the writting is the third. Your kids driving you nuts tells me one thing although I could be wrong. Kind of boils down to one thing and thats being envolved with them from birth on, you need to become a part of there life for more than just one or two minutes aday. Thing I've noticed most about my kids now that they have grown up is when they come home its mainly to see Mom, Dad made things possible but Mom was the one that spent the time with them.

As for your situation now you need to get envolved with them and thats going to be tuff. Don't force yourself on them but let them know you are interested in them but you got to make friends with them. Your going to have to pull away from what you like doing and do what needs to be done while you still got some hope. Try praying, you might get some answers........

Thanks Ray, but it's catch 22. I feel like they are crippling me. I have to work and set an example for them. If I spend all my time with them, my own life suffers. I bend over backwards doing things with them and for them, and then they stab me in the back. They make me feel like a fool for caring.

They are both so self centered. They don't want to try and make the world a better place. They just want to take and take. They want it all for free. They refuse to do anything that requires effort. They are lazy slobs. They do poorly in school, because they have convinced themselves that only geeks and nerds get good grades. They think it is cooler to be stupid, because stupid people have it easier. THEY HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME RETARDS. I guess I should treat them that way, if that's what they want.
