Jeff, the problem will definitely improve with age! Eventually, you won't even CARE where you were last week. It could even improve to the point where the Cap is today. waaaaayyy down the road sometime !

Speaking of snakes, my hero W. C. is quoted as saying:

"I like to keep a bottle of stimulant handy in case I see a snake, which I also keep handy."

Ron and Seuss, you two just ain't... er, what was that word?

Well anyway, no I don't wear a thong, and I can't thing worth a #### either.

Now let's not upset the Captain any more than he is already, or he's liable to get wet.

Cheers!

Moosehead

P.S. My sincere apologies to WAL.

Getting close now!!

Seuss,
Congratulations. Yes...a "crow's beak" butt cap. Actually a #22 butt cap in duralumin. That ought to give you folks a hint about the missing pieces in this puzzle. We now know that the Model #6-9" has a stainless steel blade, and a #22 style duralumin butt cap. Can anybody put the "middle" in it?
Best, Captain Chris Stanaback

Hi Cap!

How about a full NS single hilt with black and aluminium spacers and an "Antique" Gold Micarta handle in the border patrol shape?

Cheers!

Moosehead

Jeff, and David,
Yes, a nickel silver single hilt. Yes, black and aluminum spacers. David: "Almost" a yes on the handle shape, but "No" on the material. This is really taking too long, but....ain't it fun?? Best, Captain Chris Stanaback
P.S.: HINT: Stag cannot be ordered "shaped", therefore it is eliminated (actually way back I think I told you folks it was not stag). That means you all are looking for an alternative handle material that can be ordered "shaped". Also, David: Antique Gold Micarta "cannot" be ordered with metal spacers. Is anybody writing all of this stuff down?

Handle options

Tideman,
Sorry, but "no" to both. The fact is that you cannot get a "crow's beak butt cap on a single finger grip handle. Any butt cap installed on a single finger grip handle will carry the contour of that handle shape...slightly different. The same holds true of a "border patrol" handle. The butt caps for this handle are an "extension" of the border patrol shaping. As to the guess of "rosewood", you are getting warmer, but not quite there.
Best, Capt. Chris Stanaback

P.S. HINT: In order to guess this setup correctly, one is going to have to think "outside the box". CCS
