A few Christmas Orders
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, and a busy year. I know I was overwhelmed right before the holidays but did manage get everything completed. Most of these knives are 1095 but a few (the ones with pitting ) are 15N20. Mostly hunting/skinning knives and a couple little everyday carry styles.
Hopefully I will have the 2x72 built before long to save me some grind time. I hope you enjoy the pictures, Happy Holidays everyone. |

I like the pitted knife, is that from forging? 15N20 is a good steel by itself, but the thickest it comes is 1/8" thick. What are the handles made from?

Correct. I've never found it any thicker than 1/8" either. The handle on the first knife is inlace acrylester and black micarta split.

It looks good.
I have used the inlace stuff and it has a brilliant appearance, but getting the tang even with it is a pain. I only use it on hidden tangs now.
