The first order...

Gentlemen,

Howdy, I've been a newbie longer than anyone; been hanging around the newbie forum here ever since my wreck ten years ago. But I have {for me anyway} vital, earth shaking news!
Yesterday I mailed twelve rail road spike knives to my friend in New York who sits at these 'Gun Shows' and 'Knife Shows' and sells 'knife sharpening' stuff. He drives as far as Pennsylvania to sell his stuff and wants to sell my knives!
Till my file guide gets here I can't make plunge cuts on the knives from the new load of 3/32" 1095 so I made a dozen rail road spike knives instead; shined them up real good and mailed them off. I expect $300. - $400. off them and he has seven of them already sold! $300. - $400. enough to buy me some beer or...
pay for a load of belts for the old Grizzly, more propane, upgrade the old web site with new pictures on it, the skies the limit!
I used to drive 30,000 miles a year installing lawn sprinklers and roofing.
I lived in my truck.
Now I can just step out on the porch and profile skinners.

God is great Sabu

Great news! Maybe things are loosening up in the market. Too bad that I had to take a pass on a knife show this last weekend or I might have been able to copy your good fortune. Maybe in November I'll have some new knives and a bit more disposable income.

Doug

Doug, I hope you're right. I've had my buffalo handle knife up on three seperate web sites and can't get a nibble.

Really hope things pick up, I need to sell them to be able to make them.

Gentlemen,

I shipped twelve rail road spike knives to New York on the 16th and they got there on the 17th! Figure that one out. The dealer who I sent them to E-mailed me this morning to report he sold two for $69.75 each and another car just pulled in his driveway!
The entire state is having a fit of mass hysteria over them! This shipment will be gone in a week! I better get out in the morning and make some more.

Here's to the Knife Network Forums
{and thanks Ray}
