Lloyd Hurley Knife Patterns

So hurleyknives.com is no longer around. I was told that you could go to Lloyd's website and download free knife patterns as long as you gave him credit for the design. Does anyone out there have these designs or know where I can get them? Looking for designs/patterns.

Somebody might have the patterns but all I've ever need was a picture. Go find a picture of any knife you like. The information with the picture will usually tell you the blade length. Once you know the length, it's a simple matter to measure the picture (print it out) and figure the ratio of the dimensions to the known blade length so that you have all the dimensions you need. That allows you to make small changes so that the design isn't totally identical so that after you've made a few of them it becomes your design ...

yep, the Hurley domain is gone, however I believe it is Lloyd Harding knife designs you seek.. a quick google search found this link:

http://www.4shared.net/download/bcPi...-Patterns.html

The link provides a means of downloading a 98mb zip file of his designs.

CAUTION: I opened the link to see if it is viable, and it is, however another page with a buxom babe teaser opened also (I don't think it has anything to do with knives!).. the primary link page provides the download capability. I did not attempt the download.. proceed with caution.

True.

I have an entire sketchbook loaded with knife designs that I cannot make until I have the proper tools and skills.

I flip through it every couple of weeks, just to keep those dreams alive.

Blacknet, from the looks of things, those designs, save for the "bowie", look pretty standard. Did Lloyd have something else going for his knives to differentiate them from other knifemakers?
