Chevron Hunter
Hi everyone! I finished this hunter up last Friday, Never tried texturing chevrons but I guess it worked. Knife has slab sidded bone handles and stainless bolts with 416 ss guard and O1 blade about 4 inches or so. Handle is a bit less than %/8 wide at the guard. I hope you like it.

I like it Brad. very clean looking.
May I ask how you are applying the texture? I'm guessing it would be like stipple but with a motorized tool such as a dremel instead of a pen or pencil. |

Hi Rick, Thank you for the compliments. The texturing is a technique I learned from Ed a few years ago. I use a Foredom tool with a small round bit (1/32?) inch. draw off the area to be textured and sink the bit into the area, you have to go over the area a few times to get the effect. hope this helps. The JS stamp is in the same place as the name just on the other side.

Very nice, Brad.
I love the clean lines. Is this a mortised tang or a full tang? I can't quite tell from the picture.
Also, what kind of bone....camel, giraffe, cow? Thanks for the post. Dana |

Hi Dana, It is cow bone, I like it if it has some contrast to it. It is hidden tang construction, just remove half thickness on each side for the tang to keep it centered. I think they are some of the hardest to build without getting it off centered. Talk to you later
