ormbladnir seax
here's a blood wood seax i just finished the blade is 12 inches and gripp is 5 1/2. the gripp and scabbard are carved bloodwood. the spacers are wrought Iron and leather. The dragon motif on the scabbard is inspired by the carvings on the prow of the osenberg longship.
Ormbladnir means worm (dragon) bladed. the blade is seven layers of 1084/L6 |

Excellent work, Jake.
I love bloodwood. Smells like Play-Doh when you work it. |

Beautiful Knife!
The Oseberg carving looks very Viking. What tang shape did you use, and how did you secure the handle? |
