Skinner

Here is a folding skinner I made for my dad for a trip to Colorado. He got to use it on an elk and a muel deer. He gutted, skinned, and quartered both animals, and you could still shave with it. It was built to his specs, he wanted a locking skinner.
SPECS:
Blade: 3.5" ATS-34 (HT and cryo by Roger Linger)
Liners: .063 Ti.
Bolsters: Beadblasted 416ss
Scales: Black linnen Micarta.
Spine: Fileworked 416ss

Great Job Jeremy, that is one sweet knife.
If I was your Dad, I would be awfully proud of that gift.
Thank you for showing it.

Thumbs up

I have been saying for along time that someone needs to make a big, locking skinner that could come apart for cleaning at the end of the season, or the trip. That looks to fit the bill perfect, down to the bull nose blade that was in my minds eye. Great job. Good looking, practical knife. Two thumbs up!

Very Nice Jeremy, I really like the shape and the file work is fantastic. Did you fill in the file work with black epoxy?

Very nice, Jeremy. I'm a big fan of folding hunters and that bull nosed skinner is one of my favorites. Dad should be proud of it.

Ummm. Elk steak. Better than beef. I'm envious.

Thanks guys. My wife and I had a nice big elk steak yesterday. A lot of guys that have seen this one really like, now I'm just waiting for orders.

Hammer: that is exactly what my dad said he wanted in a knife.

Bill: No, there is no epoxy in the negitive space. I haven't tryed that yet.

Jeremy
