A thought on transfer solutions...

Just a thought, has anyone tried WD-40? A lifetime ago when I used a dot matrix printer and was forever replacing the ribbon cartridge, a friend suggested spraying WD-40 inside the cartridge to extend its' life. The WD-40 seemed to bring life back into any dried ink still inside.
I got several more printed pages out of each cartridge. Not sure if it will work in this situation.
Maybe the ink won't dry. Might have to mix it with something else. Just a thought.
