"Rock 'n Roll" Typhoon-(Reprise)

In the "Turbo Carver Review" thread, David Broadwell wanted to know where he could see pics of my Rock 'n Roll Typhoon...and I realized they were posted during the "interim period", and deleted when the changeover finally occurred. Consequently, they are nowhere to be found in the KnifeNetwork forums. So that there's at least a record somewhere in these forums of this knife, I beg your indulgence while I post them once again...this time to stay.

The blade is Norris Modified Snakeskin stainless damascus,...the toughest part for me (aside from the wings), was getting all 4 holes perfectly drilled...absolutely critical on a balisong (I found out the hard way on a previous blade). The blade and wings were carved prior to heat treat...I was terrified at thought of it possibly warping. Happily it came out perfectly straight.

The guitars and saxophones are carved 416SS w/inlaid snakewood. Baked enamel surrounds the instruments.

I lightly carved out the "bell" in the saxophones...

I made the latch out of 416SS (The Norris damascus wasn't thick enough or I would have used that). The carving is of an "F"-hole, found on hollow body guitars, violins, cellos, etc

Thanks for being patient about the redundant pics...I worked too hard on this to have it forever lost in the Internet "no-man's land".

Thanks,

Dennis Greenbaum

Yeah Baby!

Dennis, that bali makes me smile. It's not often you see a sax and a guitar on a knife. Nice work.
