What to do if a knifemaker doesn't respond?

I have a problem. I've sent a knife off to be referbished to it's maker. Now the maker seems to be missing. Thier website isn't up anylonger. No longer responding to emails, phone doesn't seem to be working. Others who have bought his knives can't get intouch with him. Even the knive guild he belonged to havn't heard from him and can't contact him.

Any suggestions to what I should try next?

Hi Colby,

First, you need to list the makers name. This is not to start a gang bang like other forums like to do.

It is to help get the word out that you are looking for him.

No one knows what caused this maker to go "missing". While they may not have a current web site or email address. They may still be able to access the internet and find out people are looking for them.

Additionally, other custom knife collectors may have some information you can use.

Hi Les,
Thanks for responding so quick. I've accualy has been posting at alot of the differant forums about my problem. The reason for making this post about the problem of how to get in contact with a maker not to be about the maker I'm trying to find.

But another place mentioning his will help so... I'm looking to get intouch with Jason Jacks. I put a post in the Texas knifemakers guild forum here. I've been contacted by Pat Osborn, who has put a request to the membership to see if they can help. I've been getting some great help from others but nothing has so far worked.

Hi Colby,

I thought it might be Jason. Wish I could help. I've had at least 1/2 dozen people contact me looking for Jason.
