2nd Attempt at Bulino
Here is my 2nd attempt at bulino. It's on a copper practice plate. I didn't finish it but it sure gave me alot of practice. Any critique would be welcomed.

Mike,
I see marked improvement on this over the sheep you had done. My only suggestion would be to keep working it and get the shading to a level so that is models the face and gives it a bit more contrast. Ray |

Thanks Ray
The marked improvement is the result of you, Sam and Tim. The information that you all were willing to share is so valuable to someone just starting to engrave. One question if I may, is it neccessary to cover every bit of the engraving with lines or dots and then sand back? Because some of the face has no lines or dots. Is that what you mean by model the face more or do you mean just touch up detail thats already there, because I know that needs done. Thanks again Mike C. |
