A bit of Sword 'Humor"
This past weekend my 6yr old daughter (Tara aka Tara-ist) went to a SCA camping event near Toledo Ohio called Baron Wars. It was a great deal of fun. We use plastic covered rattan for our swords for the grown ups to use. For the kids we have boffer weapons constructed of lightweight pvc and foam (squishy swords) for their saftey and enjoyment.
My daughter is in the maroon dress she still needs a bit more 'practice' fortunately we have some Knights lined up to help her. http://www.destrierleather.com/BofferQueen.MOV Julie

I just watched King Authur last night and many Saxon were killed with thrown swords in that movie. Don't count her out yet.
