'Scratchings'

Hi guys

Just gotten through completing this pair of William Evans shotguns. They're for a famous English blues/rock musician and seemed to take me forever to finish! The subjects are strange for a pair of shotguns but my guess (and it is my guess) is it's an heirloom for his young kids as he's not a spring chicken anymore.

playing acoustic guitar (Martin) under tree

trout fishing on his beat of the river Test, Hampshire, England.

partridge shooting

salmon fishing in Scotland (nb, action of gun not finished)

salmon fishing detail

hope you like them
Marcus

Beautiful job Marcus, congratulations!
Everything is so well done but I especially love the depiction of the water and the reflections on it in the "trout" fishing scene. Amazing work.
I hope you and your Dad enjoy your trip to the US later this year.
Best regards, John.

Marcus, Beautiful, as your work always is. I am sure that Mr. Clapton will treasure them as will his children. Any chance of you pulling molds off these and making casting available? I have a couple of questions to ask you but will send by private message. Thanks Fred

Really impressive pieces Marcus, well done!
I assume as well that they were done for Eric Clapton.
Love the themes, and the action in the sporting scenes.

What do you estimate for time on a project such as this?
Selecting the images, and the bulino engraving must of consumed a fair amount of that time!
I'd love to learn more about this special commission.

Thanks for sharing these with us.

Tim

Oh Marcus,

This is a project after my own heart. I find the theme refreshing. A person gets quite tired of seeing the same old bird dog breeds and ducks and sideplates.

The only thing I would change if they were mine is the guy would be playing a banjo instead of a guitar. (its a hillbilly thing ).

Wonderful execution, very impressive.

Ray

That is simply stunning Marcus. I love everything about it. Is there any chance of seeing a photo of the underside.

Best regards
