.600 Double Rifle Scenes

Hi guys,
I was browsing some pictures of mine to update my photo album and I came across these. I finished the rifle (it was a big bugger!) a few months back and can't remember if I posted them or not. I can't find any trace that I have so I hope you enjoy them.

cheers,
Marcus

Hi Marcus,
I like the buff the best, looks like he's got an attitude! Is the scroll a distinct type or rather a style of your own? I like the bigger leaves, looks similar to some German styles I've seen.
thanks for posting,
Kent

Hi Kent, in answer to your question this is a style that I've developed. It is deep relief work and I love doing it. It's more 'freestyle' than most of the English scrollwork and I love the way I can play with it and make it twist and turn. The buffalo is my favourite too.

Excellent I like the style that you have developed the way the leaves flow is just beautiful , the bulino looks like they are ready to step out of the scene. Dave

Marcus, I really enjoy seeing your engraved rifles. Your scroll work is very classy. I think the leaves inside the border around the bolino is a very nice touch. thanks for showing it.

Joe

Beautiful work as usual. I am always impressed with the quality of your style. Question, Did you etch relieve the background on this piece and what do you estimate the depth. The lay-out is perfect. Please show more....and if you don't mind I am going to add this to my picture file.

Marcus...I think Biggs stole my thunder when he said wow. The Black Leaf scrolls are beautiful..animal anatomy and scenery are fantastic. I also like the cloud scapes. A lot of engravers leave those out, they don't realize how important they are in the scene. You definetly pay attention to detail. Keep up the good work.

My Gosh Marcus, it's stunning! The contrast between animal and background is so vivid.

Very nice Marcus
The bulino looks exceptional. Maybe you could post a picture assembled if you have one.
Excellent work

Hi Marcus
Well 3 more pictures for the Marcus Hunt file
I really like that style and all 3 views are beautiful. I especially like the bottom view with the elephant, the foliage looks like it came from the garden.
Thanks for posting
