excellent!! couple of question what hardness do you prefer for the spring and what do you use for the nail nick. I hope you don't mind me asking.

I do the back spring about a Rc. 45 - 48.

And the nail nick is cut in with a fly cutter, ground to that profile.
Done on a mill at very slow speed.

Very nice. How do you attach the little plaque thingy. I think it is called an estrunchen (sp?) but I can't figure out how to spell that.

Thank you for the reply there.

The shield is inlaid into the handle material & double pinned to the liner.
It is made out of stainless steel and will never fall of the knife.
