Yeh guys sorry on the late entry that one was my fault. I aint going to lie I had a lot of unexpected trouble...I originally started with the knife I submitted. When I realized all my leather had gotten wet and ruined. And I don't have any good kydex either. I ordered some and started on a folder at the last minute...ran into another issue with that and wouldnt be able to fix in time. So I went back to the original knife and by then I got my leather and kydex and made a kydex one cause it would be quicker.......You want to know what I learned DONT wait to the last minute...work began 2 weeks before deadline when we had 5 months....but from now on with customers I am going to give my self more time in case something like this pops up so learned sometring......anyway guys just wanted to apologize for holding things up for a few days...and EVERYONE one made some really nice blades!!!

They are indeed. Very hard to rate or choose one over another.
Each one has its own attributes.

Agreed! All look very nice. Of course I have my preferred style, but as far as workmanship goes I see a lot of really top notch work. I know where my skill set lies in the mix, so enough said about that. But I will say that the amount of knowledge I've learned through the process is invaluable. That as well as being able to compare my work with others is huge. I am sincerely looking forward to the critique portion of the excercise. I'm hoping to improve on areas I'm not noticing yet.
Thanks again.

Sorry for being so late on getting this one done. It's been a busy summer and I wasn't real happy with the way it turned out. Definitely the worst look of the bunch. But I did get the sheath put together today.

Not the worst James, not the worst.

Considering you made it on a 4x36 with a hollow grind I would say you did OK. I thought it was made from cable damascus, or is the picture just poor?

It's cable, just a bad pic. You have to get the angles and lighting right to get good pics of the stuff.

This KITH might be the best ever.
Mine, not so much.
But, the others. Wow!
Can't wait to see how it turns out.
Ray, Thank you again for doing this.
Thanks to all who took part in this.

I received Keith's knife on Wednesday. It's a good little knife.
Could use a little more attention to the finish but all around nice knife.
I will be in TN. next week fly fishing. Look forward to trying it out
in the field.

I received mine from Troy as well. Very nice knife. The handle work is exquisite. Something to aspire to for sure.
My apologies on the finish. That was the first hollow grind I completed. I've gotten better at finishing them now. I made a small sanding fixture to help. I was afraid I would ruin the hollow if I sanded it further.
I must say I'm amazed at how much I've learned through this excercise.
Thanks
