little black helium tank forge

Ok so it's been about the months since I built this thing it is a helium tank that was left over from my neighbors sons b day party..Here's the skinny 2 inch of Kaowool in one inch layers each layer is coated with SIC (silicon carbide refractory) cement. The final layers of SIC are one inch thick. The front door is 4"x4"and the rear aperture is 2"x 4" I have been using it on and off for the three months and some change the burner is a Reil style venturi 3/4" with a mig tip as a jet. starting build
shelf and back door complete.
completed forge less Kaowool.
rear aperture and "door"
mock up of burner.
first billet of pattern welded steel.
Hopefully you all will enjoy. As always all comments are welcomed!

Looks great Sanch! Very similar to one I built. You have better fabrication skills than I, and yours is more heavy duty than mine. I like seeing what you have fabricated, especially your anvil!

Let me know how that damascus billet turned out. I have one venturi also in my forge and have yet to try it out welding up damascus or cable.

Thanks for the kind words again Tony, the Damascus billet was a whole lot of work and I still haven't finished putting it together . It's going to be a low count rain drop pattern hopefully. It's going to have to wait cause I'm four projects behind in my Leather Work and three blades behind in my knife work! Yet I still started fabricating a new mini hydraulic press yesterday....wooohooo too many irons in the fire!
