Chris,
The deadline is Halloween so you have plenty of time.

Alex,
Detect your way into your shop and use some of that fancy machinery....

I've decided to try grinding in the false edge/swedge after I get it heat-treated, theory being that should make it a little easier to get the entire blade up to the exact same temperature during austenizing without over-heating the tip. That's the theory, anyway....

No problem, that's exactly what I would do so be sure it comes out nice or we'll both look bad...

Whooo hooo, Austin! Children are dancing in the street, ticker tape parades will be held in every city, dogs and cats no longer fight, it's a glorious day!

It's a 2000 s10, and I'll likely post a few more photos of it before I'm done...

It survived heat-treatment with not a single warp, false edge/swedge is ground/filed in, now she's in need of a day's worth of hand-sanding..... planning a frame handle for this one.

Done, except for the sheath and an edge... almost 16 inches overall.

Finally have it finished. 440C with Axis. Sheath is inlaid with Longhorn hide. The level of craftsmanship I have seen so far is incredible. You guys are talented. Ray, thanks again for doing this so we can continue to challenge ourselves and improve our abilities.
