Been a While since I posted....something new
Been a while since I've posted anything, and will try to change that! Just lots of things goin on in "life" that have demanded my attention. I've started my push towards the Blade Show, but took a bit of time to build this for a friend from Church.....he's big into grilling, and wanted a snazzy "Utility" type knife for his outdoor cooking/entertaining.....so here's what I came up with......
5" blade of twisted "fossil" damascus, with clear Gun-Kote finish, a brass ferrle, and African Blackwood handle. __________________ WWW.CAFFREYKNIVES.NET Caffreyknives@gmail.com "Every CHOICE has a CONSEQUENCE, and all your CONSEQUENCES are a result of your CHOICES." |

Awesome Ed! I love 'guardless' knives and I love that steel. That's some killer blackwood to match too. Beautiful knife.

I'd call that a nice, simple user, but I don't think there's much anything "simple" about it . I always enjoy seeing your fossil Damascus blades-it's interesting to see what "pattern" comes out. I'll bet the guy getting this one will be really pleased.

I like the new twist on the fossil. ( No pun intended)
How many turns did you go with the billet? __________________ Bruce Bingenheimer MLazyB Custom Knives ABS Journeyman Smith |

That's a nice knife Ed. Looks a bit like a nessmuk. Ole Bob Engnath had a pattern like that. He thought it was a great camp utility food prep blade. Bet yours does just fine around the grill.
May all those bumps in the road just fade in the distance, Craig |
