carbon fiber handle shaping

Hello from another rookie,

I took the plunge and bought a dremmel tool, some files and sandpaper. While I'm waiting for my wood scales to arrive from Knifekits, I thought I'd work on an old set of carbonfiber scales. My question is regarding the best atachment for shaping carbon fiber. I like the rough finish insted of the shiny that you see on some knives. How do I achieve the shaping, and retain the "rough" finish?

Thanks,
Dean
