first attempts, starting with the small knife

I made this to be raffled off during the 2015 Johnson County Sheriffs Office Charity motorcycle ride (Indiana).

Kitchen knife/chef's knife made from Aldos O1 tool steel, 3/32 thick to start. HT - Texaco type A oil quench. Desert Iron Wood scales (affixed with accraglass and 6 - 3/32 dia brass pins) yellow liners. Ground to about .022 edge thickness and then hand sanded to 800 grit. I applied a layer of renaissance wax for protection, as there will be lots of people handling the knife before it finds it final home.

I started for the first time in March this year, here is what i have made for the last 7 months. i am a 29 year old mechanic and welder/forger from Norway.

every knife is 100% handmade, using just regular home workshop tools.
