Turkish walnut
How many of you knife makers are willing to pay $75 for Turkish walnut scales or 1"x 1" x 5" un-stabilized wood ?? I'm not paying that even if it is stabilized. Not saying I'll not use it , But someone else will have to buy it .

Walnut
$75 is way beyond what I'll pay for a single set of scales. Now if I could get 2 or more sets, then I'll think about it.

Barry , Beautiful Folder . But still a lot of money for Turkish walnut and the walnut that I'm talking about is from Turkey and $75 is like $175 in their
money and that is to much for scrap pieces of wood . |

I also loved it Barry!!!
I have very suitable Turkish walnut knife handle blocks in my inventory ( Very dense, solid as a stone ) Dry and ready to work as well. Prices depend on the quality, grade, availability and dimensions. If you buy a set my knife blocks start from $4 Usd. I have also exhibition grade Turkish walnut knife handle blocks with very unique patterns. And those are $19 Usd, $25 Usd $49 Usd and i have even $75 Usd very nice blocks as well. As i have described, prices depend on the quality, grade, availability and dimensions. You can check out my available blanks if you click the below photograph. If you would like to order please do not hesitate to contact with me. ![]() |

The handle material, in many cases, sells the knife. I posted two virtually identical knives for sale recently, with the only significant difference being the handle materials (both stabilized, one in figured Koa, the other in curly Honduran Mahogany), and a $90 price difference because of the wood. The more expensive one sold IMMEDIATELY.
Your customer should determine what is too expensive... Don't judge with YOUR wallet!!! __________________ Matt Gregory |
