Mini 17
Sam I thought you would enjoy this. It is of course a mini 17 Astro with slab handles. Pinned on no less. Saw it on eBay and won the auction. Thought it would look good with my mini 14.
Hope ya’ll enjoy looking. Ronnie |

I'm glad somebody on here won this auction, and I'm even happier that it was you, Ronnie! SCORE!

I know that I have posted these before, but I feel that this thread is as good as any to do it again!

Thanks for reposting the mold Bill. Has anyone speculated where those Sterling replicas (not authorized by Randall) came from? Ronnie's is the 1st I have seen with handle attached.
Ronnie, is yours marked .925? |

Bill, it occurred to me that the mold you have is the mold to those sterling pendants like the one Ronnie posted. I associated the mold with the original tie tack-paperweight Astro made in the 60's because you had them displayed together in the photo.
That's why I was initially astonished. I thought that you had found the mold that was used in the 60's. Still would like to know where the sterling ones came from. Sam |
