Latest knives

I put the last touches on these 3 late last night. The tanto style has a satinwood handle with 1/4" brass, aluminum, stainless pins, and a lanyard hole. The middle one is blood wood with 3 3/16" copper and piano wire pins and a lanyard hole. The bottom knife's handle from a white tail deer that got smoked last year on one of my road work projects (hence the visible road rash scar on the side of it). Copper and piano wire pin with a copper guard and black vulcanized rubber spacer. This is the last knife made from my experimental saw blade steel. So far, all of the blades made from the experimental steel are holding up through the cardboard, leather, 2x4's and points being stabbed into books. i have yet to find any bailing wire to pound the blade edge through. On a side note the bottom knife went through a 300+ page book with one stab.

This is the reverse of the knife with the blood wood handle, I liked the way the knot looked so I decided to use this piece. I wished it didn't run at an angle through the wood so it could have been seen on both sides

Very nice looking knives. Great pattern to the damascus

On the bailing wire. Where I find it at the local tool-in-a-box stores is the section where they sell rebar and welded wire fensing. 1/16" brass rod will work as well.

Doug
